The MMPR team has over the last 12+ years serviced the resource industry in all regions of the world. Our team has a broad range of services within the area of mineral processing from scoping studies, designing test programs, all levels of engineering study through to project commissioning and optimization of operations.
Starting with your initial inquiry, a senior member of the MMPR team will advise you on the innovative solutions to your project’s challenging process problems. We will always involve you in the decision-making process with clear and concise fee proposals at every stage of your project. We value regular communication and provide you with written project status reports to ensure you are fully briefed on the progress of your project.
It is our goal to help our clients achieve greater value from their projects by delivering valued outcomes–fast start-up; early revenue generation, enhanced productivity, greater efficiencies. Although the current business conditions pose challenges for many of our clients, we are working alongside each of them to deliver resilience and strength to projects. If you have a project that appears to have stagnated please get in touch with our MMPR team to discuss further. We are dedicated to helping you achieve success. A testament that is reflected in our +12 year history.
Crucial inputs to flow sheet development are the metallurgical results obtained from testing mineral samples. The result of the metallurgical test work has a defining influence on all the process units of a mineral processing plan. Test work is necessary from the plant development phase through to the end of the life of the mine. Sighter test work establishes if the metals can be extracted from the ore easily or if not possible. It is a critical upfront benchmark.
MMPR provides the management of metallurgical tests from beginning to end. In the various study stages, we require metallurgical test work to optimize the mineral processing method and guide equipment selection. MMPR works in close collaboration with laboratories to plan and supervise test work programs on behalf of clients. The supervision of the program enables a proactive evaluation of the test work results and on-the-fly change to the test plan. MMPR has accumulated considerable experience in planning, conducting, and supervising many types of metallurgical test work.
MMPR can develop test work plans for all commodities. We develop the plan based on the level of study for which the work is to be undertaken from Sighter test work and conceptual studies through to Feasibility studies. A program of test work might include:
Determining the comminution characteristics of the ore and defining the likely behavior of the ore in crushing and grinding processes;
Evaluation of pre-concentration options to reduce the mass of material to be processed; Conducting bench-scale test work, especially to determine the relationship between size and mineral liberation; Conduct variability testing on samples taken across and through the ore body; and/or Generate sufficient data for the metallurgical flow sheet to prepared for the particular level of study.
The plans show all test work required and sample type and weight it also shows requirements. In addition, a test work description is developed–particularly if the test work requirement is extensive–and issued to the client. Following the test work plan development, MMPR can issue the plan to laboratories for quotation or tender and can make recommendations to the client for the preferred laboratory to do the test work. MMPR will then manage the test work and issue the results and interpretation of those results to the client in the form of a test work report.
MMPR will manage the test work program and liaise with the laboratory on behalf of the client and collect all results when they are available. We will analyze the results and make interpretations based on the results as to further work or the impact of the results on treatment options. Should the results show that we require a significant change in direction of the test work; MMPR will inform the client and have further work approved prior to its commencement.
Interpretation of results and client communications is a critical part of the test work management process. As we receive results from the laboratory, they are analyzed and issued to the client with interpretations, so we fully inform the client at all times as to the progress of the test work and the implications of the results on the plant design. The results are discussed and any requirement to change the test work program is brought to the attention of the client so that approval can be obtained for those changes.
At the conclusion of the test work program, we present the results and interpretation of the results in a full report to the client. The report will include all the test results within an appendix and discussions on the results as they relate to the project. If desired by the client, a presentation and discussion of the results can also be made in a face-to-face meeting.
